Hey there, fellow mom culture mamas!
Today, I want to introduce you to something that's been an absolute game-changer for both me and my kids, especially for my teens who are navigating the tricky waters of adolescence. You know what I'm talking about – skincare! 🌼
As our kids grow, so do their skincare needs. And that's where GRYT comes into the picture. I stumbled upon this skincare line a while back, and let me tell you, it's been a real lifesaver in my house.
First things first, let's talk about why I adore GRYT. As a mom of three, I'm always on the lookout for products that are not only effective but also safe and gentle for my kids. GRYT checks all those boxes and more.
One of the things that caught my eye about GRYT is its commitment to using natural and safe ingredients. With all the pollutants and chemicals out there, I feel good knowing that my kids are putting clean, non-toxic products on their skin.
GRYT gets that tweens and teens have different skincare needs than adults. Their products are specifically formulated for young, sensitive skin, addressing issues like acne, oily skin, and occasional breakouts without over-drying.
But what really sets GRYT apart is their team of experts. They've partnered with a fantastic panel of professionals to ensure that their products are not only safe but also beneficial for young skin. Meet the experts:
Now, let's dive into some of my kids' favorite GRYT products:
- BALANCING ACT DAILY FACE MOISTURIZER: This daily moisturizer is a must-have. It helps keep acne at bay and maintains skin balance. The superhero ingredient here is jojoba oil, which tricks the skin into believing it has produced enough oil. It's pediatrician approved and dermatologist tested, so you know it's safe.
- FACE COURAGE DAILY CLEANSER: When it comes to facing the day with courage and confidence, this cleanser is the one. It's uniquely formulated with a low pH to remove surface oil and dirt, leaving skin refreshed, soothed, and ready to tackle anything that comes its way. Pediatrician Approved. Dermatologist Tested.
- SO CHILL STRESS LESS SUPER-SERUM: This amazing serum is all about calming the skin overnight. It leaves skin clearer and more soothed, thanks to salicylic acid for pimple prevention, curcumin, and licorice root for combating inflammation and redness. Plus, it contains the GRYT Calming Complex, featuring stress-reducing ashwagandha, oil-regulating jojoba, and pore-minimizing niacinamide. The result? You wake up looking clearer and glowier. Pediatrician Approved. Dermatologist Tested.
- THE GRYT KIT: For the complete GRYT experience, check out "The GRYT Kit" featuring all three products. It's a fantastic way to kickstart their skincare journey and help them establish a routine.
As a mom, I'm all about finding products that make our lives easier and healthier. GRYT has become a staple in our home because it's not just about skincare; it's about instilling good habits and confidence in my kids as they grow.
So, if you're on the hunt for skincare solutions that are as mom-approved as they are teen-friendly, do yourself a favor and check out GRYT. It's been a real game-changer in our household, and I'm sure you'll love it too!
Remember, we're all in this together, supporting one another through the ups and downs of this incredible journey we call motherhood. Let's raise good humans, inside and out! 💕
With love and GRYT, Sarah Head Mama at Mom Culture
]]>Hello to our mama community,
As mothers, we juggle countless roles daily, often seeking moments of solace amidst the chaos. For many of us, Taylor Swift's songs have become that comforting lullaby, that anthem of strength, and yes, even that therapeutic escape. This is why we're beyond excited to introduce our latest curated product: a trucker hat that boldly proclaims, "Taylor Swift is my therapist."
But why this statement, especially for us moms? Let's delve a bit deeper:
Relatable Lyrics: Taylor's gift for storytelling touches on emotions, relationships, and experiences that resonate deeply with us. Whether it's the challenges of motherhood, the joys of a child's first steps, or the bittersweet moments as they grow, her lyrics often mirror our own feelings.
Emotional Expression: From the depths of postpartum blues to the peaks of maternal joy, Swift's songs encapsulate a spectrum of emotions. As moms, we're often told to "hold it together," but these songs remind us it's okay to feel and express.
Growth and Resilience: Through her music, Taylor Swift chronicles personal growth, challenges, and resilience. These themes resonate with every mother's journey, reminding us of our strength and ability to adapt.
Openness about Mental Health: In today's world, many artists, including Taylor, are candid about mental health. This openness helps destigmatize issues like postpartum depression, encouraging moms to seek assistance when needed.
Cultural Relevance: As we raise the next generation, being culturally aware is crucial. Familiarity with influential artists like Taylor Swift can help us connect with our kids, bridging generational gaps.
Personal Preference: At the end of the day, even moms have their personal music preferences. And yes, many of us genuinely enjoy jamming to Taylor Swift during those rare moments of "me time"!
So, when you don our "Taylor Swift is my therapist" trucker hat, it's more than just a trendy accessory. It's a nod to the therapeutic power of music, the shared journey of motherhood, and the cultural impact of artists like Taylor Swift.
To all the moms out there, this hat is a salute to you. Wear it with pride, and let the world know that sometimes, our therapy comes in the form of a catchy tune.
Sending love, strength, and a touch of Swiftie sparkle,
Sarah aka Mom Culture
]]>Hey, fellow thrifting-loving mamas,
Raise your hand if you've ever found yourself elbow-deep in a thrift store bargain bin, eyes wide, heart racing, the thrill of the hunt coursing through your veins. No? Just me? Well, buckle up, because once you've tasted the sweet victory of a thrift store score, there's no going back.
Maybe you're thinking, "Me? Thrifting? But I can barely make it through Target without forgetting what I came in for." Trust me, I've been there. But as a seasoned thrift warrior and bargain huntress, let me tell you, the game is worth the prize. And as moms doing our best to RAISE GOOD HUMANS, isn't it awesome to show them we can be fashionable, budget-conscious, and earth-friendly all at the same time?
1. The Pre-Thrift Gameplan: Just as you wouldn't wander into the grocery store without a list (can we say "impulse buys"?), you don't want to hit the thrift store without a plan. Start with a general idea of what you need.
2. Dress for Thrift Success: Here's the scoop—when you're thrifting, you're in it for the long haul. Easy-off shoes, fitting room friendly outfits, and a hands-free bag are all part of the veteran thrifter's uniform. Trust me, when you're trying to wrangle a vintage cocktail dress into submission, you'll thank me.
3. Thrifting: A Lesson in Patience: We've all had those days: you stride into the thrift store, the doors part, and there it is - the designer handbag you've been coveting, in near-perfect condition, at a fraction of the cost. Other times, you might walk out with nothing more than a kitschy coffee mug. But hey, that's the thrill of the hunt!
4. Quality Check: When you've got a potential thrift gem in your hands, inspect it carefully. Is it wearable, usable, lovable? If yes, into the cart it goes!
5. Join the Mom Culture VIP Group: Our Mom Culture VIP Facebook group isn't just about swapping mom fails and trading potty training tips (although we do a lot of that!). We also love sharing our thrift hauls, exchanging hunting tips, and even organizing back-to-school clothing swaps.
6. Enjoy the Ride: The world of thrifting is about more than just scoring a deal. It's about sustainability, creativity, and the joy of discovery.
So get out there, fellow mamas. Unleash your inner bargain huntress and join me in the thrifting game. And remember, we're not just saving money—we're playing a part in RAISING GOOD HUMANS.
Happy thrifting, mamas!

It turns out, there's some science behind why this little chewy wonder can help our kids, especially those with ADHD, buckle down and conquer those writing assignments. ✍️🧠
Chomping to Concentrate: The Gum Effect

For ADHD Warriors: The Ultimate Hack
Now, let's talk about our ADHD champs. We know that keeping their attention on a single task can feel like trying to catch a squirrel with a butterfly net. But here's where the gum magic truly shines. Chewing gum can provide sensory input that helps these kiddos regulate their attention better. It's like giving their wandering minds a little something to hold onto while they navigate the writing maze. 🌪️🍀

Hey Mamas,
It's Sarah, your fellow mom-in-arms and head mama here at Mom Culture. You know our motto, #MoveWithMotherhood, right? Well, I've found a new way to put that mantra into action, and I can't wait to share it with you!
Since leaving our warehouse last year and moving our products to fulfillment, I've noticed something – I'm sitting way more. Between managing our beloved Mom Culture and the added carpool duties (yes, more stationary life!), my once active days of packing orders and cleaning the warehouse have taken a backseat.
Enter the walking pad! This handy little device has become my daily companion and a real-life way to #MoveWithMotherhood. Here's how I'm doing it, and how you can too!
If you're walking down the right path and you're willing to keep walking, eventually you'll make progress.

Moms, I truly believe the walking pad has revolutionized my work-from-home life. It's brought movement, energy, and our #MoveWithMotherhood motto to my life. And hey, it's something for us, something to make us feel great while we keep our world spinning.
Give it a try, and let's walk (and work!) this journey together. Happy walking, and as always, stay fabulous, mamas! 💃👩💻👩👧👦

Hey there, fellow moms,
As the summer days draw to a close and fall approaches, we find ourselves standing at the threshold of another school year. Yes, it's bittersweet.
The Journey of Parenthood: Remember when we first held our squishy newborns and whispered promises of forever? Well, that forever is here, knocking at the door with backpacks and pencil cases in tow. We always knew this day would come, but gosh, it's like we blinked and suddenly they're off to another grade.
Letting Go, Holding On: As parents, we've been their protectors, their guides, and their biggest cheerleaders. We've wiped away tears, kissed scraped knees, and celebrated milestones. Now, as they step into the new school year, we find ourselves navigating the delicate balance of letting go and holding on. It's natural to feel a tinge of sadness, a sense of loss, and even worry for what lies ahead.
Pride in Their Wings: Amidst the swirl of mixed feelings, one thing's for sure: these amazing humans are ours. We've nurtured them, loved them, and threatened them with time-outs. And now, they're ready to conquer another school year. It's like watching a tiny bird you raised take its first flight. We're so proud that we could burst—mixed with a touch of nostalgic melancholy.
A Symphony of Emotions: So, how's a mom supposed to handle this emotional rollercoaster? Cry if you want to, or celebrate with a secret dance party in the kitchen. Seriously, it's okay to feel all of it, from the poignant to the downright silly.
Finding Solace in Connection: Remember, you're not the only one with a slightly teary eye in the drop-off line. Reach out to other moms who are probably experiencing the same mishmash of feelings. Sometimes sharing those feelings can be as comforting as that first cup of coffee in the morning.
Honoring the Moments: As the school year progresses, take time to cherish the little moments—the proud smiles, the stories of new friendships, and the excitement in their eyes. Embrace the opportunity to grow alongside your child, discovering new facets of your own identity and finding joy in watching them thrive.
A Bittersweet Symphony: Yes, the start of a new school year is bittersweet. It's an ode to the passing of time and the evolution of our children. But amidst the bittersweet symphony of emotions, let us remember that our love and support will continue to be the steady beat that guides them through each chapter of their lives.
So, dear mamas, as we stand at the brink of another year of learning and growing, let's embrace the bittersweet goodbyes. Let the emotions flow, like a coffee spill on a white shirt (which, let's be real, is a regular occurrence in mom life). Hold on to the memories while also looking forward to the adventures that lie ahead. With our love as their compass, our little ones will navigate this new chapter just fine.
Cheers to a new school year, mamas. We're in this together.
]]>Ah, it's that time of the year again when we swap sunscreen for schoolbooks and endless snacks for lunchboxes. No more cries of "Mom, I'm bored!" every ten minutes or trying to coordinate swimming suits with beach towels. We're not trying to fast forward through the final sweet notes of summer - we're just bracing ourselves for the rollercoaster ride that is back-to-school season.
Here's the best part, though, mamas. While we're knee-deep in school supply lists and schedules, a glimmering silver lining emerges from the chaos. Our pint-sized humans and teens are returning to their teachers, meaning we mamas get to take back a tiny sliver of the day. It's time to dust off the 'me' time and build a self-care routine that caters to your needs.
Start the Day with You: There's a strange silence in the house, the kids have marched off to school, and you're alone with your thoughts and a piping hot cup of coffee if you remember to pour it. A real rarity! Use this time wisely to start your day with something that nourishes your mama soul. A jog around the block, a chapter of a book, a silent meditation, a podcast or perhaps a solo dance party in the kitchen - no judgment here!
Rediscover a Hobby: Your kids have their list of school clubs, why not find your own? Paint that masterpiece, start that vegetable garden, or finally learn how to make sourdough. Find something that lights up your soul and lets your creativity flow. Fun fact I learned to sew in my 30's and that "hobby" lead me here to mom culture.
Reconnect with Friends: It's not just your kids who need playdates. Reclaim your social life, one latte at a time. Meeting up with friends, sharing laughs, and having adult conversations that don't revolve around cartoons or fidget toys can work wonders for your mental health.
Schedule a Date with Yourself: You're important. So, like any other important event, put yourself in your calendar. Whether it's a Netflix binge, a DIY spa night, or an uninterrupted nap, put it on your schedule and make it non-negotiable.
Practice Grace: Let's face it, we're not superheroes (even though we often feel like it). Ease into your new routine. There will be days when all you manage is to get the kids in the car with matching shoes. On those days, be gentle with yourself. A hot mess is still hot, remember? I prefer to be a spicey disaster instead of a hot mess!
Self-Care isn’t Selfish: Taking care of you is not a luxury, it's a requirement. After all, you can’t pour from an empty cup. In the hustle of raising good humans, don't forget to tend to the awesome human that you are. Schedule those routine doctor appointments and follow-ups too!
Back-to-school season is a time of new beginnings for both us and our little humans. As we navigate this transition, remember to carve out a little corner of the day for yourself. You're not just a mom, you're a woman with dreams, passions, and the right to drink a cup of coffee while it's actually still hot!
Embrace the back-to-school season. Yes, it's chaotic, but amidst the madness, it's our chance to step back into our own shoes. After all, a happy mom equals happy kids. As the saying goes, "If momma ain't happy, ain't nobody happy!" So here's to us, the brave, the strong, the coffee-fueled kinda superheroes we are, stepping boldly into the back-to-school season while also reclaiming a bit of ourselves.
You're doing great, mama!
]]>Hello, lovely Mom Culture community! Can you believe how quickly the summer is flying by? If you're anything like me, you're currently in full-blown summer mode, sipping iced coffee poolside, watching the kids splash about, and treasuring these long, lazy, sun-drenched days.
But as much as we'd love to keep soaking up these precious moments, the return to routine is lurking just around the corner. I know, I know, it seems a bit early to talk about it. You're probably thinking, "Come on, let us enjoy our summer bliss a bit longer!" And trust me, I'm with you. There's still plenty of summer to enjoy, but as we know, preparation is key when it comes to handling the back-to-school chaos.
So, while we continue to bask in the summer sun, let's also take some time to mentally prepare for what's to come. Here are a few tips to help you conquer the upcoming school year, Mom Culture style, without compromising your summer fun.
Start with a Fun Family Meeting: No one likes abrupt changes, especially not kids. Start introducing the topic of school with a family meeting. Make it fun, maybe over a picnic or while roasting marshmallows for s'mores. Discuss the upcoming school year, their expectations, and your plans.
Create a Game Plan, But Keep It Loose: It's summer, after all! Create a rough schedule for when school starts, but remember, flexibility is your friend during these warm months. The aim is to ease everyone back into a routine, not create additional stress.
Make Back-to-School Shopping a Scavenger Hunt: Turn a mundane task into an adventure. Create a list of all the supplies your kids will need and have them find the items. It's a great way to get your shopping done while having some fun.
Revisit Your School Year Meal Preps: Remember those quick breakfasts and easy lunch ideas you pinned on Pinterest? Now is a good time to try them out. Experiment with some meals now, so you’re not scrambling for ideas when school begins.
Plan a Back-to-School Tradition: To make the transition more exciting, plan a fun tradition. It could be a special breakfast, a family photo shoot, or a simple dance-off the night before school.
Remember DONE IS FUN! -unknown
So, while we're sipping our iced coffees by the pool, let's start casually prepping for what’s to come. Remember, you're not alone in this. We're all in it together, navigating the sweet chaos of motherhood. Happy summering, and here’s to a smooth transition into the new school year!
As always, we'd love to hear your own tips and experiences. Share in the comments below or on our social media platforms. Enjoy your summer, mamas, and remember, preparation today means relaxation tomorrow!

Hey there, Super-Moms! Today, let’s raise a glass (or should I say, a bottle?) to an unsung hero in our chaotic daily lives—the emotional support water bottle. Yes, you read that right! Who knew that this humble object could bear such significant weight in our motherhood journey?
Now, before you chuckle and scroll past, hear me out. How many of us have that one favorite cup or bottle that's as much a part of our daily routine as, say, checking if our teenager has done their homework or convincing our toddlers that vegetables are not the enemy? Right? I thought so!
Our new "In My Emotional Support Cup Era" 40 oz tumbler has been my trusty sidekick lately, making sure I stay hydrated through all the crazy mom moments.
So, why do we have such a strong emotional bond with these trusty sidekicks? Well, let’s take a deep dive into the world of hydration and motherhood.
Being a mom is an all-consuming job. From the moment we open our eyes (and often at several intervals during the night), we're ON. We're running around, making breakfast, dropping off the kids, picking up groceries - it's like a never-ending marathon.
And in all this chaos, it's easy to forget about our own basic needs—like hydration. This is where our trusty water bottle comes in. It serves as a constant reminder to take a sip amidst the chaos, keeping us hydrated, and let's admit it, sane!
Our emotional support water bottles often form a part of our daily routine. Be it the first sip of water in the morning, the coffee that fuels our day, or the herbal tea that helps us unwind—our favorite bottles or cups are there through it all, adding a comforting rhythm to our days.
Let's not forget that our beloved bottles or cups often reflect our personal styles. Be it a sleek metal water bottle, a fancy glass tumbler, or a coffee mug with a sassy quote, they add a splash of our personality to everyday life, making even mundane hydration breaks feel a bit special.
By choosing a reusable water bottle over single-use plastic, we are doing our bit for Mother Earth. It’s a small step that not only sets a good example for our kids but also helps us feel good about our choices.
So, the next time you find yourself clutching your favorite water bottle or coffee mug, take a moment to appreciate the comfort and support it brings you. Hydrating isn't just about quenching thirst—it's a small yet profound act of self-care that fuels us in our journey of raising tiny humans (or not so tiny anymore!).
Do you have a go-to water bottle or mug that you simply can't live without? Share your emotional support water bottle stories with us in the comments!
And if you haven’t yet found your hydration soulmate, check out our collection of mom-approved water bottles and mugs in our mom culture shop. Join the hydration revolution today!
Hey, Mamas!
As we wrap up another Fourth of July, I can't help but reflect on how this one-day-a-year celebration is so much like our round-the-year motherhood journey. One minute you're dodging exploding watermelons and the next, you're dabbing your eyes as your little girl sets off her very first firecracker.
Our Fourth of July this year was a vibrant patchwork quilt of joy and sorrow, laughter, and a few tears. Sound familiar, moms? Just like a typical Tuesday, right?
Spending the day with family in my hometown of Long Beach, I was struck by how beautifully bittersweet some moments can be. The absence of my dear sister-in-law was felt by all, her memory woven into the very fabric of our celebrations. But as we laughed, reminisced, and even shed a few tears, we created new threads in the tapestry of our shared memories. In her absence, we found a unique comfort— a comforting solidarity. It was as if an anchor dropped, gently reminding us that love's power stretches far beyond any loss we might experience, binding us together in its resilient web.
Our own little firecracker, Lily, got to experience a slice of my childhood. Her wide-eyed wonder as she set off her very first “real” firecracker—well, let’s just say that sparkled brighter than any display lighting up the night sky. Amidst the ebb and flow of life, the changing tides of emotions, there is always space for fresh joy and new experiences.
It got me thinking. Isn't this what our journey as mothers is all about? It's a roller coaster ride with its ups, downs, and the occasional loopy loop. We hang on tight, laugh, cry, and at times, we're left breathless. But oh, what a ride it is!
This Fourth of July was uniquely ours, a day brimming with love and dotted with a few heavy hearts. Much like motherhood, it was perfect in its imperfections. It’s a gentle nudge reminding us that it's okay to find joy in sorrow, to hold space for both, and to embrace life in all its contrasts. That's where its beauty lies, after all.
You just gotta ignite the lightAnd let it shineJust own the nightLike the Fourth of July
So, here's to us, mamas! Here's to our shared journey, our shared struggles, and triumphs. Here's to celebrating love, life, and each other, not just on the Fourth of July, but every day.
How was your Fourth of July, lovelies? Any memorable firecracker—kid or otherwise—stories to share? Spill the tea in the comments below!
]]>Hey there, fellow moms of teens! Let’s level with each other for a moment. Yes, we're chauffeurs to football practice, chaperones at concerts, and round-the-clock cheerleaders, but we've also got lives outside of our (not-so) little ones. Can you picture me nestled into the couch, delving into the newest Netflix docuseries, or typing up the latest post for my blog? Or how about giggling over a latte with my friends as we swap our latest teenager-induced grey hair stories?
You bet, we have interests that expand beyond our teenagers' world!
Now comes the million-dollar question: how do we snatch that elusive "me time"? It can feel like we're forever running a marathon, managing our semi-independent, opinionated teens, and holding down the family fort. It’s like spinning plates while tap-dancing on a tightrope.
But let’s make no mistake, scooping out some ‘me time’ isn’t self-indulgent—it's survival. Think of it as securing our own life vest before helping others. When we prioritize our wellbeing, we're more equipped to navigate the stormy seas of raising teenagers. Plus, we're generally happier, more chilled-out versions of ourselves—something our families can definitely appreciate!
"Keep taking time for yourself until you are you again.” -unknown
Navigating the me-time maze can feel like mastering a Rubik's Cube blindfolded—challenging, to say the least. But hey, we've survived diaper catastrophes and teenage tantrums—we've got this too! Prioritizing my self-care isn't just a line item on my to-do list; it's a non-negotiable appointment in my daily planner.
Let's get one thing straight; a refreshed, rejuvenated mom equals a happier, healthier family. So, as we tread the adventurous path of raising teens, let's make a pact—to celebrate ourselves as much as we celebrate our kids. Because the better we feel, the better we parent. And isn't that what this rollercoaster ride is all about?
]]>Hey there, brave souls navigating the world of teen parenting! How do you carve out your own slice of 'me-time'? Got any boundary-setting hacks or sanity-saving rituals to share? Drop your wisdom in the comments below—we're all in this together, after all. And don't forget, make sure to subscribe to our newsletter for more heartfelt, relatable mom-tales, and nuggets of parenting wisdom delivered straight to your inbox! Remember, at mom culture we're not just raising good humans, we're looking after their incredible moms too.
Alright ladies, gather round—it's time for some real talk. We all know the digital world can be a bit like the Wild West of parenting advice, where the quickest draw is a sancti-mommy loaded with unsolicited advice, ready to duel at high noon. From the 'my way or the highway' parenting warriors to the shame-shooters who never miss a target, it can feel like we've entered the O.K. Corral rather than a mom forum. But what if we could turn this lawless land into a harmonious haven, where every mom is sheriff of her own town, and the only shots we're firing are "You're doing great, mama!"? Let's hitch our wagons and set off on a journey to claim our motherhood, pick our battles (because let's face it, we've got enough on our plates), and cultivate a more supportive, empathetic 'mom culture' online.
The first step in overcoming toxic mom culture is dismantling the harmful practice of mom shaming. We've all seen it—judgmental comments about feeding choices, sleep training, work decisions, and more. It's crucial to remember that there's no one-size-fits-all approach to motherhood. Every mom, every child, and every family is different. Instead of criticizing, let's focus on supporting each other's choices and respecting our unique journeys.
Being a mother doesn't come with a manual. It's a learning process filled with trial and error. So embrace your unique parenting style! Whether you're a stay-at-home mom, a working mom, a single mom, or a mom of multiples, your experience is valid and worth celebrating. Don't let societal pressure or judgment cloud your confidence in your mothering abilities.
In the world of motherhood, it's essential to pick your battles. Not every disagreement needs your energy. Sometimes, agreeing to disagree and moving on is the healthiest option. Focus your energy on what truly matters—raising your children in a loving, nurturing environment.
Social media and online platforms can be powerful tools to create positive change. Let's use them to share encouraging words, exchange helpful advice, and uplift each other. Instead of spreading judgment and negativity, let's spread love, support, and understanding.
Every mom is doing her best. Instead of quick judgments, let's practice empathy and try to understand each other's situations and choices. Remember, behind every post or comment is a human being—just like you—trying to navigate the messy, beautiful journey of motherhood.
Overcoming toxic 'mom culture' is no small feat, but together, we can create a shift in the narrative. By dismantling mom shaming, owning our unique journeys, picking our battles, and fostering a supportive and empathetic online community, we can redefine what mom culture looks like. Here's to creating a digital world where every mom feels valued, respected, and supported.

]]>At mom culture, we believe it's time for a Mom Culture revolution. We want to transform the term from a source of divisiveness into a symbol of unity and support. Mom Culture should celebrate the beautiful diversity of motherhood, with each journey uniquely woven with threads of joy, trials, triumphs, and growth. It should foster a strong, supportive network where every mama feels heard, valued, and respected—where we lift each other up, applaud each other's victories, and offer a shoulder during challenging times. So, let's redefine Mom Culture together. Stand tall, embrace your journey, and always remember to support your fellow mamakind. We're in this together!
Hey there, mama-friends! Summer is here, and so is the constant chorus of non-stop "What's for dinner?" But fear not, we have your back! Here are five easy, mom culture budget-friendly, and absolutely kid-approved meals that won't have you sweating in the kitchen for hours. So let's dive in, shall we?
Who doesn't love tacos? But let's skip the mess and make life easier. Just prepare a batch of ground meat (or beans for a vegetarian option), chop some veggies, grate some cheese, and let everyone build their own taco bowl. You can even use the leftovers for a quick burrito lunch the next day. Bonus points for minimal cleaning!
This is a two-for-one deal: a fun activity and a tasty meal. Get some pita breads, BBQ sauce, shredded chicken (a perfect way to use leftovers), cheese, and your kids' favorite veggies. Let them create their own pizzas and pop them in the oven for about 10 minutes. Voila, personalized pizzas with no delivery charge!
All the goodness, only one pot to clean. Sauté your kids' favorite veggies (we love bell peppers, zucchini, and peas), add pasta, water, and some seasoning, and let it cook. Stir in some cheese at the end, and you have a veggie-packed meal that the kids will love.

Whether it's a rom-com that makes us swoon, a drama that tugs at our mama's heartstrings, or a feel-good film that inspires us, these movies have a special place in most of our hearts.
This modern take on Shakespeare's "The Taming of the Shrew" is a delightful mix of romance, humor, and heart. With memorable performances by Julia Stiles and the late Heath Ledger, it's no wonder this '90s classic has become a go-to favorite for movie nights. I now watch this gem with my teen Lily. Get ready to laugh, cry (a lot), and experience all the feels with this iconic love story. It's genuinely a fitting and beautiful way to go. I tell ExhaustDad I want our end to be like the end of this movie.
"What, like it's hard?" in this feel-good, empowering movie, Reese Witherspoon shines bright like a diamond as Elle Woods, the sorority girl turned Harvard Law student. It's the perfect reminder that we can accomplish anything we set our minds to (and look fabulous while doing it!).
Nobody puts Baby in a corner! With incredible dance numbers, sizzling chemistry, and memorable quotes, this classic film has us dreaming of a summer romance and practicing our dance moves in the living room. Not gonna lie. The soundtrack is still one of my faves.
This hilarious and relatable tale of a single woman navigating love, work, and self-acceptance is heartwarming and laugh-out-loud funny. Plus, let's be honest, who wouldn't want to be caught in a love triangle with Hugh Grant and Colin Firth?
With its witty dialogue and undeniable chemistry between Meg Ryan and Billy Crystal, this romantic comedy explores the age-old question of whether men and women can indeed be just friends. One thing's for sure—we'll have what she's having!
The ultimate Cinderella story, "Pretty Woman," features Julia Roberts as a charming escort and Richard Gere as the dashing businessman who sweeps her off her feet. It's the perfect mix of romance, humor, and shopping montages that we can't resist.
This cult classic, written by the hilarious Tina Fey, is so fetch! With memorable quotes, unforgettable characters, and important life lessons, "Mean Girls" is a must-watch for any girls' night in and another teen mom date fave in our house.
Fashion, drama, and Meryl Streep—what more could we ask for? This entertaining look at the cutthroat world of high fashion and Anne Hathaway's relatable performance makes "The Devil Wears Prada" a movie we love to watch on repeat.
As if we could leave this '90s classic off our list! With its witty dialogue, unforgettable fashion moments, and heartwarming life lessons, "Clueless" is a film that never goes out of style, and yes, you guessed it, another one to enjoy with your teen daughters! Alicia Silverstone's iconic portrayal of Cher Horowitz, the lovable and stylish high schooler, has us reaching for our plaid skirts and knee-high socks.

]]>Hey there, fellow mamas. Grab a cup of your preferred caffeine and get comfy—because today, I'm sharing a milestone that's got me all up in my feelings. Yes, my baby girl, my firstborn, the one who first introduced me to the beautiful chaos of motherhood, just turned sixteen. My little muse, Lily, who has inspired countless designs for our brand, from 'Raising Tiny Humans is Exhausting' to 'I Breed NON-SLEEPERS,' is now a young woman. How did that happen? Buckle up, mamas, it's about to get emotional (and, of course, a bit humorous because, let's face it, laughter has been our survival tool).
Sixteen years ago, you came into this world, red-faced and loud—letting everyone know that a star was born, our little zero to-ten baby. I was suddenly a mother, holding this tiny human, marveling at the wonder and terror of it all. You weren't just my daughter; you were my heart living outside my body.
Remember that shirt that says 'I Breed NON-SLEEPERS'? Yep, Lily, that was you, kiddo. Those long, sleepless nights when you decided that sleep was for the weak—I must admit, I didn't find them very amusing at the time. But looking back, those moments are now some of my favorite memories. Nothing bonds a mother and daughter like binge-watching at 2 am and car rides to the border of Mexico.
From glittery crafts that left our home looking like a disco ball exploded to the sparkly outfits that had you standing out in every crowd—you've always brought sparkle into our lives, metaphorically and quite literally. Even your teachers call you their disco ball Lily.
If I had a penny for every time we've had strawberries in some form or bopped to a K-Pop tune in our living room, I'd be able to buy a small island. But honestly, I wouldn't have it any other way. Your passions have made our home a lively, vibrant place and taught me more about Korean pop culture than I ever thought I'd know. I'll still pass on the smelly bag of kimchi you like. I'm not a fan.
Lily, your love for unicorns and fairies has always been about more than just mythical creatures. It symbolizes your unique spirit—always rare, always magical, always unapologetically you, and always free.
So, to my strawberry-loving, K-Pop-dancing, sparkle-donning, real-life unicorn of a daughter, happy sweet sixteen! I am so proud of the young woman you've become. You've taught me more about life and love than you'll ever know, and you inspire me daily.
To my fellow mamas, hug your tiny humans a little tighter today. Because one day, you'll blink, and they'll not be so tiny anymore. And while every phase has its own beauty, there's something about the firstborn—the one who made you a mom—that forever holds a special place in your heart.
“If I could give my daughter three things, it would be the confidence to always know her self-worth, the strength to chase her dreams, and the ability to know how deeply loved she is.” ~ Unknown
Now, I'm off to cry in the fetal position. Wish me luck! And while I brave the world of my baby growing up, share your own heartfelt stories about your kids growing up in our comments below.
We mamas have to stick together through these milestones time waits for no man, that's for sure!
As a fellow mom, I know how challenging it can be to prioritize self-care in our busy lives. However, caring for ourselves is crucial for physical and mental well-being. Here are 10 realistic and obtainable ways to boost your mood and prioritize self-care:

Hey there, fellow mamas! Mother's Day is just around the corner, and while it's a time to celebrate motherhood, it can also bring up a lot of complicated feelings for those of us who have lost our own moms or have strained relationships with them. As a motherless mom, I've had to navigate these emotions and find a way to make the day memorable for my family. In this post, I'll share some of the lessons I've learned along the way – with a bit of humor and a lot of heart.
Breaking Generational Cycles Let's face it, we all have some "mommy issues" – the way our moms parented us or the unrealistic expectations we place on ourselves as mothers. But as a motherless mom, I felt like I was starting from scratch. No blueprint, no roadmap, just me and my own instincts. And while it's been challenging at times, it's also been liberating. I've been able to break free from the toxic patterns that plagued my family and create a parenting style that feels authentic to me. So to all the moms out there trying to break generational cycles, keep doing you – your kids will thank you for it, I promise.
Ending Toxic Relationships I'll be honest, ending my relationship with my own mother was one of the hardest things I've ever done. It was like breaking up with a toxic boyfriend, except this one had birthed me. But here's the thing – being a mom is hard enough without dealing with someone else's drama. So if you're in a toxic relationship with your own mom, give yourself permission to let it go. It's not selfish. It's self-care. And trust me. Your kids will benefit from having a happier, healthier mom in their lives. It's honestly the reason mom culture even exists. I could never have started this business without freeing myself and healing.
Navigating Mother's Day Without a Mother OK, now let's talk about Mother's Day itself. It can be a bittersweet day for those who have lost our moms. On the one hand, we're grateful for the opportunity to be moms ourselves. On the other hand, we can't help but feel the absence of the person who brought us into this world. So how do we celebrate without feeling guilty or sad? One word: balance. Yes, the one time I believe in balance is when dealing with heavy emotions. Take time to honor your mom's memory – light a candle, look at old photos, and have a good cry (never underestimate the power of a good cry, a lesson from my mother). And then, shift your focus to the present moment – spend the day doing something fun with your kids, treating yourself to a bit of self-care, or simply enjoying the fact that you're a badass mom who's raising amazing kids.
"Your little family is the best team you could ever have." -unknown
At the end of the day, being a motherless mom is tough. But it's also a reminder of how resilient we can be as women and as moms. We have the power to break generational cycles, to end toxic relationships, and to create a loving, supportive environment for our families. So this Mother's Day, I challenge you to celebrate yourself – flaws, quirks, and all.
You're doing a fantastic job, mama – and your mom would be proud...well, maybe!
]]>Mothering the mothers means offering support, love, and understanding to fellow mothers. It entails being present for them when they need a shoulder to cry on, a listening ear, or a helping hand. It involves providing resources and information to help them succeed as mothers, celebrating their achievements, and empathizing with their setbacks. Essentially, it is about fostering a sisterhood among mothers, supporting one another through both the good times and the bad.
Mothering the mothers is vital because it helps combat the isolation that many mothers experience. Motherhood can be a lonely journey, especially without a robust support system. Having other mothers to converse with, who understand your struggles, can make a world of difference.
Supporting mothers can also contribute to improving children's lives. When mothers receive the support they need, they are more likely to be happy and healthy, which in turn benefits their children. Children raised in homes with content and healthy mothers are more likely to succeed in school, maintain healthy relationships, and lead happy, fulfilling lives.
If you are a mother or know a mother, consider embracing the concept of mothering the mothers. This small act can make a significant impact. Here are some ways you can help:

Mothering the mothers is a crucial act of kindness. It's a way to show support and love to other mothers, significantly impacting their lives. Embrace this concept and create a strong, nurturing community for mothers everywhere.

I know what you're thinking: "I've been driving for years, I know how to stay safe on the road." And you're right, you do. But your child is new to this, and they're going to make mistakes. That's why it's important to be patient and supportive as they learn the ropes.
Here are a few tips to help you get through this exciting (and sometimes terrifying) time legit it's TERRIFYING!!!!
I know this is a lot to take in, but I promise you, it will all be worth it in the end. Just remember to take a deep breath, relax, and enjoy this special time with your child. As mothers, we face endless challenges every day. From juggling multiple kids and managing a household to maintaining our own mental health, the demands on us can be overwhelming. It's no wonder that many women turn to prescription medications to help them cope. One such medication is Xanax, a potent and addictive drug that has become all too prevalent in our society.
Xanax is a benzodiazepine medication that is commonly prescribed to treat anxiety and panic disorders. While it can be an effective treatment for those conditions, Xanax also has a dark side. It is highly addictive and can lead to physical dependence, withdrawal symptoms, and even overdose.
One of the most concerning aspects of Xanax use is how it has been marketed to women over the years. In the 70s and 80s, Xanax was commonly referred to as the "housewife drug." Women were encouraged to take Xanax to help them deal with the stresses of homemaking and childcare. This marketing campaign had lasting effects on society, leading to a widespread belief that taking medication to cope with daily life was acceptable and even necessary.
Prescription drug addiction is a topic that hits close to home for me. My own mother struggled with addiction to prescription drugs for most of my life. She was prescribed antidepressants and Xanax in the early 70s, around the time I was born. Although she has been clean a couple of times, she continues to use prescription drugs to this day, which has sadly ended our relationship. It's heartbreaking to see the devastating impact addiction can have on a loved one and their relationships.
I recently watched the Netflix documentary 'TAKE YOUR PILLS-XANAX' and it sadly made me one not feel so alone any longer but two realize just how bad the addiction to this drug really is for our loved ones.
If you or someone you know is taking Xanax, it's important to be aware of the signs of addiction. These can include:
If you notice any of these symptoms in yourself or a loved one, it's important to seek help. Addiction is a treatable illness, but it requires professional treatment and support.
As mothers, we all have moments when we feel overwhelmed, stressed, and anxious. But it's crucial that we approach our mental health in a responsible and safe way. While Xanax can be an effective medication for treating anxiety and panic disorders, it's important to remember that it is highly addictive and should only be taken under the guidance of a medical professional.
Resources for Getting Help and Support
If you're struggling with Xanax addiction, or if you know someone who is, there are resources available to help. These can include:
Remember that addiction is a disease, and it requires professional treatment and support to overcome. There are many resources available, including therapy, support groups, and medication-assisted treatment, that can help you or a loved one recover from addiction.
Sadly, we were not able to get our mother to seek the right type of help, and her addiction to prescription drugs has continued to impact our family. But I urge you to keep fighting for your loved ones and raising awareness about the dangers of Xanax and other overly prescribed drugs.
If you need help or have questions about Xanax addiction or treatment options, please reach out to a healthcare professional, addiction specialist, or support group in your area. Together, we can work towards a healthier future for all moms.
As someone who has seen the impact of addiction firsthand, I want to emphasize how important it is to seek help and support for yourself or a loved one who may be struggling. It's never too late to start on the path towards recovery, and I encourage anyone who is dealing with addiction to take that first step towards a better life.

If you're like me, you've spent much time trying to please everyone else and living up to impossible standards. But as we get older, we realize that life is too short to waste on things that don't truly matter. So here are 10 things that I've learned to leave behind since turning 40, and why I think you should too:
Regrets: We all fail sometimes, but that doesn't mean we're failures. I've learned to embrace failure as a learning opportunity and to be proud of myself for taking risks and putting myself out there. At least, I can say I tried. I'm proud of a few of my failures because it's better than the regret of "what if" or "I wish I had"

]]>During our recent 'Wednesday Wellness' check-in with our Facebook VIP moms, I wanted to go beyond the typical 'I'm fine' responses we often give each other. Instead, I asked the real question that matters: How are you really doing, mamas? I know this can be hard to answer, but it's essential to feel your feelings and say I'm not okay.
I received a flood of responses from our VIP moms, and not to my surprise, a common theme emerged: feeling drained. The word DRAINED popped up in almost every answer, highlighting how pervasive this issue is for moms today.
Let's face it, as moms; we have a lot on our plates. There's the whole money thing, trying to keep our jobs and our kids alive, the endless school drop-offs and pick-ups, feeling like we're stranded on a deserted island of loneliness, and don't even get me started on the news these days. And then there's social media, where we're supposed to present a picture-perfect image while silently comparing ourselves to other moms who somehow have it all together. Hot tip remember, most of those moms that have it all together really don't. Oh, and let's not forget about the sleep deprivation and hormonal changes that come with pregnancy and raising tiny humans. No wonder we're feeling drained, overwhelmed, and ready to scream into a pillow at the end of the day.
Moms can experience feelings of being drained due to a variety of factors, including but not limited to the following:
All of these factors can contribute to the feeling of being drained, overwhelmed, and stressed. Feeling drained can manifest in a number of ways, but here are some common signs to look out for:
Exhaustion: You may feel like you have no energy, even after getting a good night's sleep.
Lack of motivation: You may find it hard to get motivated to do even simple tasks like getting dressed or making breakfast.
Irritability: You may feel short-tempered or easily annoyed, even by small things.
Physical symptoms: Feeling drained can also show up in physical symptoms like headaches, muscle tension, and stomach issues.
Poor sleep: If you're feeling drained, you may find it hard to fall asleep or stay asleep, even if you're exhausted.
Difficulty concentrating: You may find it hard to focus on tasks or remember things that you normally would.
These symptoms can be a sign that you're not taking care of yourself and need to prioritize self-care.
I don't know about you, but every time I open up my phone and start scrolling through my feeds, I feel like I'm falling down a rabbit hole of FOMO (that's "fear of missing out" for those of you not up on your hip acronyms). I see all these pictures of moms who look like they just stepped out of a magazine, with their perfectly coiffed hair and their smiling, angelic children. Meanwhile, I'm over here in my sweatpants, hair in a messy bun, trying to corral my kids and not spill my coffee all over the floor. It's no wonder we feel overwhelmed and drained, constantly comparing ourselves to these picture-perfect images that we know deep down are just a highlight reel of someone else's life.
As mothers, it's important to set healthy boundaries with social media to protect our mental health. Here are a few tips:
Limit your time on social media. Decide on a set amount of time you'll spend each day and stick to it.
Unfollow accounts that make you feel inadequate or trigger negative emotions. Instead, follow accounts that uplift and inspire you.
Don't compare your life to the highlight reel of others on social media. Remember that people only share the best parts of their lives online.
Take breaks from social media. If you feel yourself getting overwhelmed, take a break and engage in an activity that brings you joy.
Be mindful of your own social media presence. Don't feel pressure to present a perfect image online. Share your authentic self and be proud of who you are.
By implementing these tips, you can create a healthier relationship with social media and prioritize your mental health as a mom. It's also ok to UNFOLLOW and move on from accounts that no longer serve you and your current season, mama. Sometimes we change, including who we're following and what content we're consuming. Remember, you don't owe anyone your joy, so if you find social media bringing you down and causing that drained feeling take a break!
]]>Disclaimer: it's okay to take a break from social media altogether if it's causing too much stress or anxiety. While setting healthy boundaries is essential, some moms may need to take a break from social media to recharge fully.
Hey there, Mama! I hope you and your family are doing well. I wanted to talk to you today about a topic that I know is on a lot of our minds: school safety.
Unfortunately, this issue hit close to home last week with the shooting at Covenant School in Nashville. As moms, we all want to do everything we can to keep our kids safe, and that's why I wanted to share some resources and organizations that are fighting for stricter gun laws and better school safety measures.
Let's start by getting real about the issue of gun violence in schools. It's not something that any of us want to think about, but we have to face the facts. According to the CDC, nearly 1,300 children die from gun violence in the U.S. each year. That's a statistic that hits home for any parent.
So what can we do to help change this? Well, that's where some amazing organizations come in. I want to introduce you to Moms Demand Action for Gun Sense in America, Sandy Hook Promise, Everytown for Gun Safety, and the Gun Violence Archive. These groups are working tirelessly to promote safer gun laws and protect our children.
Moms Demand Action, for example, was founded by a group of moms who were outraged after the Sandy Hook shooting. They've since grown into a nationwide movement that advocates for common-sense gun laws and responsible gun ownership. On their website, they have a ton of resources specifically for moms, including tips for talking to our kids about gun violence.
Sandy Hook Promise is another organization that was founded by parents who lost their children in the tragic shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary. Their mission is to prevent gun violence before it happens by promoting mental health and wellness and advocating for gun safety laws. They also have a "Say Something" program that teaches students and educators how to recognize warning signs and report potential threats.
Everytown for Gun Safety is a coalition of mayors, survivors, and everyday Americans who are working together to promote safer gun laws. They have a Moms Demand Action program, as well as resources for students and educators.
The Gun Violence Archive is a non-profit organization that collects and analyzes data related to gun violence in the United States. They provide a wealth of information on gun violence incidents, including the number of deaths and injuries, the location of the incident, and the type of gun used. By understanding the scope of the problem, we can work to find solutions that make our schools and communities safer.
And let's not forget about the importance of talking to our kids about gun violence. It can be a tough conversation to have, but it's important that our kids know how to stay safe and what to do if they ever encounter a dangerous situation.
In addition, I wanted to recommend an age-appropriate book that can help facilitate these conversations with our kids. A Kids Book About School Shootings is a thoughtful and informative book that was written by Crystal Woodman Miller, Columbine shooting survivor, mental health advocate, and warrior of hope who encourages others in the challenges they face. She’s also the creative director of making magical memories for her 3 kids and husband and attempts to love others like she has been loved by God.The book is appropriate for kids aged 5-8, and it presents the topic in a way that is both accessible and empowering.
Together, we will end gun violence. -moms demand action
So, Mama, now that you know about these amazing organizations and resources, what can you do to get involved? There are actually a lot of ways that we can make a difference, even as busy moms. We can start by contacting our elected officials and urging them to support common-sense gun laws. We can also get involved with local advocacy groups, attend town hall meetings, and even run for office ourselves!
I want to hear from you, Mama have any other resources to share with the mom culture community?

Fashion is a rapidly growing industry, but with that growth comes a hidden cost – waste. With fast fashion companies pumping out new collections every few weeks, millions of tons of clothing end up in landfills each year. This not only harms the environment but also contributes to exploitation and the depletion of resources.
At Mom Culture, we believe in slower fashion and doing our part to reduce waste in the industry. We focus on small batch manufacturing, preorders and using ethethically sourced blanks or working with our own manufacturers to produce quality garments locally. In this blog post, we'll dive into the issue of fashion waste and what you can do to make a difference.
The Environmental Impact of Fast Fashion
Fast fashion is known for its low prices and trendy designs, but those low prices comes at a cost our planet. To keep up with the demands of the fashion industry, fast fashion companies use cheap and sometimes toxic materials, and rely a lot on sweatshop labor to produce their clothes. This results in clothes that are poorly made and fall apart quickly, leading to them being thrown away after only a few wears.
This waste has a major impact on the environment. Textile waste takes hundreds of years to decompose, and the chemicals used in the production of clothes also leach into the soil and water, contaminating them.
The Human Cost of Fast Fashion
Fast fashion also has a human cost. The exploitation of workers in sweatshops to produce cheap clothes is well documented, with many workers paid far below minimum wage (even in the US) and forced to work long hours in unsafe conditions.
What You Can Do to Reduce Fashion Waste
The good news is that there's a lot you can do to reduce fashion waste and support a more sustainable future for the industry.
Here are a few simple steps you can take:
At Mom Culture, we believe that every small change adds up to make a big impact. By choosing to shop with us, you're not only getting great clothes, but you're also supporting a more sustainable future for the fashion industry.
“15 million used clothes arrive in Ghana every week from Europe, America, and China and fast fashion items make up more and more of what is sent. 40% of the clothing shipped in Ghana never finds a second life and ends up in Ghana’s overflowing landfills which has created an environmental nightmare.” (BBC NEWS, 2021) & (Independent.com UK, 2022)
Join us in the slower fashion movement and make a conscious choice for the environment and the people who produce our clothes.
]]>Hey there, fellow moms! Sarah here, and I want to share my recent experience with sepsis. Two weeks ago, I became seriously ill and was hospitalized with sepsis, a life-threatening condition caused by the body's response to an infection.
It all started when I was headed to pick up my kids from school and began experiencing upper stomach pain, which quickly turned into chills & pain that even the car heater on full blast and the car seat warmer couldn't help. I knew something wasn't right, but I pressed on and went to two of the three schools before feeling the need to throw up. I texted my oldest, Lily, told her I'd be late, and headed home, where I started vomiting.
I called my husband, and we went to urgent care when he arrived home. I spent hours there getting tests, including blood and urine work and a CT scan, as the medical professionals thought I might have appendicitis. They sent me by ambulance to the local hospital for my appendectomy to be performed. But that wasn't the case, and I was sent home around 1 am to follow up with my primary care doctor the next day.
However, things didn't improve. I went in for morning blood and urine work, but by 4 pm, I had spiked a fever and was in a lot of pain. So, I headed back to urgent care, where the same doctor who had seen me the day before urged us to head to our Kaiser hospital for more comprehensive care.
I was hospitalized on IV antibiotics for two days as my liver, kidney, appendix, and spleen were all swollen. I had a total of three CT scans, an MRI, and two ultrasounds, and my formal diagnosis was "sepsis without acute organ dysfunction." It was a scary experience, not knowing what was going on or what was going to happen next, but the doctors and nurses at the hospital took care of me and provided me with the treatment I needed.
Looking back on it all, I'm grateful for the care I received at both hospitals. But it's important to remember that as patients, we have the power to advocate for ourselves and seek out the care we need when we need it—sharing more about the signs and symptoms of sepsis and what you can do to protect yourself and your loved ones from this dangerous condition.
It's important to note that not all infections lead to sepsis, and some people are at higher risk of developing sepsis than others. Factors that can increase the risk of sepsis include a weakened immune system, chronic illnesses like diabetes or cancer, and certain medical treatments or procedures. If you suspect that you or someone you know may have an infection, it's important to seek medical attention and follow your doctor's instructions for treatment and prevention.
According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), over 1.7 million adults in the United States develop sepsis each year, and more than 270,000 Americans die as a result of sepsis annually. This makes sepsis a leading cause of death in the country. Globally, sepsis is estimated to affect more than 30 million people each year and is responsible for nearly 6 million deaths. Sepsis can affect anyone, regardless of age or overall health status, but certain populations, such as the elderly and those with weakened immune systems, are at higher risk of developing sepsis and experiencing severe complications. Early recognition and prompt treatment of sepsis is critical for improving outcomes and reducing the risk of death.
To sum it up, sepsis is no joke and can be life-threatening. It can come on fast and without warning, but there are signs to look out for. As moms, we always put ourselves last and sometimes push through the pain, but it's essential to listen to your body and get help immediately when it comes to sepsis. My experience with sepsis was tough, but it taught me the importance of caring for myself and not ignoring warning signs. I hope my story helps other moms out there know what to look for and what to do if they suspect sepsis. Just remember, this blog post is not meant to replace medical advice, and if you or a loved one are experiencing any concerning symptoms, please seek professional medical attention immediately.

To make this casserole, you'll need:
First, cook the egg noodles according to the package instructions, and preheat your oven to 375°F.
In a large pot, melt the stick of butter over medium heat. Add the cans of cream of chicken and cream of mushroom soup, and stir to combine. Gradually add in the milk, stirring constantly to ensure a smooth sauce. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Drain and add both cans of tuna to the mixture and break up tuna pieces to combine well.
Add the cooked egg noodles to the pot with the sauce, and stir until the noodles are fully coated.
Transfer the mixture to a greased baking dish, and top with shredded Tillamook cheese and crushed chips (I do two layers or each). Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
When the casserole is done, let it cool for a few minutes before serving.

Are you tired of feeling like you're stuck in a never-ending cycle of generational patterns? Do you want to break free and find peace in your life?
Well, you're not alone! As a mom myself, I know firsthand how hard it can be to break away from the habits and beliefs that were passed down to us from our own parents and grandparents.
But fear not, my fellow mom warriors! I'm here to share with you some tips and tricks on how to break those generational cycles and find peace in your life.
Motherhood can be a rollercoaster of emotions, but it's important to break the negative cycles passed down from previous generations. As a mother to Lily, 15, Remy, 13, and Fletcher, 9, I understand the challenges of navigating this role and finding peace in the journey and it hasn't been easy.
First and foremost, it's important to acknowledge that these patterns exist. We can't change what we don't recognize, so take some time to reflect on the habits and beliefs that you've inherited from your family. Are there certain phrases or behaviors that you catch yourself repeating? Are there certain situations that trigger negative emotions or reactions?
Once you've identified these patterns, you can start to work on breaking them.
Next, it's important to create new habits and beliefs that align with the life you want to live. This can be as simple as starting a daily gratitude journal or practicing mindfulness meditation. Or, it can be as big as making a major life change, like going back to school or starting a new career.
Whatever it is, make sure it's something that brings YOU yes you joy and fulfillment.
Through my own experiences, I've learned a few tips that have helped me along the way.

Remember, you're not alone in this journey, and it's never too late to start breaking the cycles and finding peace in motherhood. By sharing my experiences, I hope to inspire other mothers to do the same and create a more fulfilling life for themselves and their children.
So, my fellow moms, let's take a deep breath and remember that we have the power to break free from the cycles of our past. Let's create new habits and beliefs that bring us peace and joy, and let's support each other along the way.
Here's to breaking the cycle and finding peace in our lives!
First and foremost, communication is key – no, it's critical, like finding the TV remote in the couch cushions. key. Instead of letting disagreements simmer and turn into full-blown arguments, it's essential to talk it out and listen to each other's perspectives. Try to see each other's points of view and find a solution that works for both of you. If all else fails, bribe your spouse with their favorite snack – it's a tried and true method. But seriously you need to talk when each of you is calm, not saying anything will only cause resentment and futher issues.
Another tip is to establish a united front. Even if you disagree on certain parenting decisions, presenting a united front to your children is crucial. As a parent of three, we've struggled with one of us being too authoritarian one minute and too much of a pushover the next. Still, by incorporating the "same team" mentality, we've found a style that works for our family. This clearly conveys that you're both on the same team and working together to provide the best upbringing for your kids – or at least trying to. This is huge with TEENS!
It's also helpful to have some "me time" for each parent. Taking time for yourself allows you to recharge and come back to parenting with a clear mind. And don't be afraid to seek outside help from a counselor or mediator if needed – they're like your own personal GPS for the parenting road trip. We've been seeking the help of a fantastic therapist for the past four years to aid us in some behavioral issues with one of our children it's been so helpful to both of us.
Finally, remember that parenting is a journey and not a destination. It's okay to make mistakes and learn from them – or, as we like to call it, "parenting on the fly." At the end of the day, what's most important is that you're both working towards the same goal of providing a happy and healthy childhood for your children.
In conclusion, navigating disagreements with your spouse when it comes to parenting can be tricky, but it's not impossible. By communicating, presenting a united front, taking time for yourself, and seeking outside help if needed, you and your spouse can work together to make it work.
Happy tightrope walking, parents you've got this!
