Mama’s Gotta Hydrate!
But seriously…she does. I know, I know, it can be hard to remember to drink enough water throughout the day when you’re trying to make sure everyone else is taken care of (either in your tummy or your tiny humans on the outside). But staying hydrated is imperative to our mental and physical wellbeing.
The Institute of Medicine recommends women consume 9 (2.2 liters) cups of fluids per day, but this number increases to 10 cups for pregnant women and 13 cups for nursing mamas. And if you’re not pregnant or breastfeeding, don’t think you’re off the hook! Your body still needs those 9 cups daily (at least!) to run smoothly and maintain the energy to keep up with daily life and your tiny humans.
If this feels overwhelming, have no fear! That’s where our new “Mama’s Gotta Hydrate” aluminum water bottle comes in! Based on the Institute of Medicine’s guidelines, this means:
Women should drink 3 Mama’s Gotta Hydrate bottles a day;
Pregnant women should drink between 3 and 4; and
Breastfeeding mamas should drink between 4 and 5!
In the famous words of Jerry Maguire, “help me help you”. We know it can be a pain to remember to hydrate, but we’ve already removed one roadblock for you (aren’t we the best?)! Women’s Health lists “keeping it close” as one of the ten ways to drink more water, and this water bottle is sure to help! Grab one while they’re hot and hydrate on, mamas!
Cheers, Marissa
