Mom Culture Loves Female Founders- Christina Marshman

We love supporting our fellow female founders and try and work with female-run businesses as often as we can, here at Mom Culture. It only seemed fitting that we start spotlighting some amazing women on International Women's Day

Last summer, I had the pleasure of being connected to Christina Marshman, Owner and Founder of Mae Innovations. I had just hired my new Marketing Manager, Julie, and was struggling with our new project for Mom Culture Wines; she mentioned having a friend who did branding and graphic design. Truth be told, I'm ALWAYS scared of mixing friends and business. You never how it's going to work out. If it does turn sour... cue the hurt feelings...you know the drill. I agreed to meet her and give it a go and boy, am I glad I did!

After chatting like longtime girlfriends in our meeting and hearing her input on our wine project, I was hooked and I hired her to take on the task of designing our labels. This creative and savvy sweet mama has been the most fantastic addition to our team! She is constantly bringing new ideas, merchandise and a fresh eye to some of our old favorites.

Since coming on board with us, she's also started working with some other fantastic fellow boss babes and female founders through the 'network effect'. Some of these amazing women include: Krystal Donovan-Festerly of Gather The Village, Sarah Duncan of Loved By Hannah and Eli and Tricia Huffman of Your Joyologist.

The Power of Women

"Women have the power to change the world. From our purchasing decisions as consumers to the leadership and employment opportunities we offer as business owners, women are an incredible and undeniable force. More than 11.6 million firms are owned by women, which translates into 9 million jobs and $1.7 trillion in sales. Women reinvest income in their families and communities at higher rates than men.

By increasing the wealth and opportunities for women-owned businesses, we can significantly impact our communities for the better."

Christina is a wife and mama raising two ladies while chasing her creative dreams. Working with small female-founded companies like hers has a huge impact on your local economy.  Female shoppers account for about 85% of all consumer purchases. Investing in women is investing in your own backyard.

Christina is a huge asset to the Mom Culture crew with her fresh ideas and daily innovations. We can't wait to see where this beautiful female founder takes her growing business next as long as we get to tag along!
